‘Things I Do’, Edu Imbernon’s new EP on Stil vor Talent, once again demonstrates what makes the charming Spaniard so unique – there’s always an air of mysticism and romance running through his floor-ready tracks. Partly due to a strong understanding of atmospherics and effects, partly down to a knack for working with great vocal talents. Like on ‘Mystery Inside’, Sutja Gutierrez lends his voice to ‘Things I Do’, which bedazzles as it journeys through an arrangement of floating pads, spherical echoes and delayed synths.

Next to the original version, Teenage Mutants delivers an excellent remix that focuses on Gutierrez’ vocals whilst building a low-slung house framework of driving high-hats, bittersweet melodies and a forceful bass line around it. Lastly, Los Suruba take you on a real trip as they reduce ‘Things I Do’ to a minimalist afterhours burner composed of eerie bleeps and acidic licks.
