HOVR – Afterparty

Berlin-based artist HOVR kicks off the rollout of their debut album ‘Love Language’ with ‘Afterparty’ – a playful and characterful first single created in collaboration with DC-based artists Fátima and Late London. Set for release on April 17 via Stil vor Talent, the track introduces the vibrant, genre-fluid world of HOVR’s first full-length project.

Built around a striking vocal moment and a groove that leans into retro textures and cheeky attitude, Afterparty captures the essence of late-night spontaneity. Driven by bouncy rhythms, crisp production and a subtle nod to electroclash aesthetics, the track blends club energy with personality, unfolding as both a dancefloor tool and a statement of identity. Equal parts bold and tongue-in-cheek, it channels a playful, slightly rebellious spirit that runs throughout HOVR’s sound.

As the opening chapter of ‘Love Language’, ‘Afterparty’ sets the tone for a debut album rooted in expression, connection and emotional range. Inspired by real-life moments and shaped through collaboration, the project reflects HOVR’s ability to translate lived experience into vibrant, club-ready storytelling.

Raised in a musical household and shaped by Berlin’s club culture, HOVR has carved out a distinctive artistic voice that merges classical sensibility with contemporary electronic music. With performances spanning global stages including Burning Man and releases across respected labels such as Stil vor Talent, This Never Happened, 3000 Grad and HMWL, HOVR continues to build a universe defined by openness, energy and creative freedom.
