Here comes the second instalment in our ongoing anniversary series, celebrating twenty years of Stil vor Talent (how time flies…) via a 12-releases-a-year cascade drop. For this second iteration, Ede & Deckert give their own interpretation of label boss Oliver Koletzki’s head-turning classic ‘Hypnotized’ (feat. Fran). Breathing playful chutzpah and funky oneirism into this mesmeric roller, the Berlin-based duo has us zoning out to a cottony hybrid all in silky pad membranes, stealth bass moves and minutely chiselled drumwork. A damn fine slice of abstract techno hoodoo and jagged dream house vibrations rolled into one anthemic tune, the track evolves from low-slung 4×4 ambient-ness to heavy-lidded electro pop with seamless ease; perfect for transitioning effortlessly from peak-time euphoria to carefree, after-ready elation.
